
The Group was launched on Jan 1st 2000 and in the first year 1860 records of birds were made
By 2002 the number of individual records reached 6800 and demonstrated the interest and dedication of the 40 or so recorders
176 different species have been recorded on site, 30 of which have been identified as breeding
Rare species seen on site include Red Kite, Marsh Harrier, Arctic Skua, the long staying Shorelark ,Spotted Flycatcher, Pied Flycatcher, Turtle Dove, Ring Ouzel & Wryneck. And most species of Owls
